Arthur and Me

Tomos doesn’t have great track record when it comes to school trips. There have been a number of "incidents" in the past, so he is determined to stay out of trouble this time. Anyway, a trip to the place where King Arthur is supposed to be buried will be so boring that there is absolutely no chance of anything awful happening.

But when the class bully steals your lunch and you wander into the woods so no one can see how upset you are, it’s remarkably easy to get lost. Almost as easy as falling down an unexpected hole and landing on top of a sleeping King…

Despite an unbelievable plot, the narrative in this first chapters book is seamless. Bullying, bravery and self-reliance are all-important themes but, essentially, this is a very funny and accessible story for newly independent readers.
