Stanly Bird is a teenage superhero, living in London (which is a lot more fun than his home town in rural Wales): working in a record shop by day and fighting crime pretty much whenever he feels like it.

Trouble is, he’s finding it all a bit…boring.

With some pretty tremendous superpowers (telekinesis, the ability to fly), there’s not much that really challenges him. But when an evil government group open the door to another dimension, filling reality with more nightmarish monsters than Stanly could ever imagine, it’s time to step up and be the protector that London really needs.

The second in the Bitter Sixteen trilogy, Ace of Spiders fizzes with just as much heart, razor-sharp dialogue, down to earth humour and sci-fi references as the first in the series.
