About this book
Marcus, Asim, Stacey and Lise are the Breakfast Club Investigators. Every morning they meet at their hideout, looking for mysteries to solve. Then a painting from Art Club goes missing, and Asim is blamed. There’s a shadowy figure stalking the school’s clubs, taking prized items and leaving a calling card. It’s a real puzzle. Can the BCI unmask the real culprit before the art exhibition?
With lots of energetic illustrations, and short, pacey chapters, this gentle mystery will appeal to a wide range of readers. It’s set in a real-world school environment, with teamwork and friendship at its core. Marcus, the main character, is mentioned as being very good at football, but it should be noted that there is no football in the story. The dynamic between the Investigators is realistic, with plenty of dialogue, and friends learning not to take out their frustrations on each other. A fun mystery with more books in the series to explore.
