About this book
Babies can be sad, angry, happy, surprised and silly – can you tell which is which?
Each double-page spread in this board book features a photo of a baby's face smiling, frowning or pulling a funny face, and the corresponding page shows a group of babies, where you can find the match.
A fun and absorbing game of "Snap", this book encourages little ones to study faces and think about feelings and how to identify them from a very young age.
The photos are a bit stylised, perhaps (think babies in a catalogue shoot), but they're placed against a white background and are easy for the eye to take in. It's also refreshing to see babies from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
The mirror on the final page is a lovely touch, and makes the whole thing feel extra special. It means that your little one can study their own expressions – and grin and gurn to their heart's content!
