About this book

Former Children's Laureate and award-winning author of novels, poetry and picture books, Michael Rosen pens a brilliant collection of poems for children of all ages. Featuring story poems, funny rhymes, silly songs and lots of wonderful words, this entertaining compilation will entertain for hours, if not days.

Exuberant, amusing illustrations by David Tazzyman complement this compendium of poems about everyday happenings and extraordinary events. From wriggling and giggling in My Cousins to being attacked by a great big pie in A Dream to a touching story poem about really old people remembering when they were children. Interspersed throughout are verses about all the different dogs lurking behind the dustbins, from shivering Peter who wants a heater, to Dennis who's really good at tennis. Ideal for reading aloud at home or at school.
