Grandad's Pride is a great book for parents or carers who want to tell their children about Pride month (a celebration of LGBTQ+ rights and culture which happens every June) or take children to a real-life Pride march.

The illustrations in Grandad's Pride include realistic depictions of what a Pride march might look like, including a person dressed in adult leather wear and some images which are culturally sensitive. Parents and carers should read the book before sharing.

Milly can't wait to spend the summer in Grandad's cottage by the sea. There's so much fun to be had in Grandad's lovely big garden, feeding the chickens – and going to the beach in Grandad's brilliant campervan.

When Milly is playing in the attic one day, she unearths Grandad and Gramps' old Pride flag. When Grandad explains to Milly what Pride is, Milly has a wonderful idea: they will plan a Pride march in Grandad's little village!
