About this book

Three children set off on an expedition to a faraway land. They pack all the necessary tools: trowel, hammer, notebook, pencil, map, and off they go!

When they start digging, the children find some amazing fossils: a Velociraptor, a Triceratops, a Tyrannosaurus and even a HUGE Diplodocus! Amazing!

This fun picture book is a great introduction to dinosaurs, featuring peep-through holes and a lovely large fold-out section at the end of the book.

After revealing each dinosaur’s skeleton, arranged in order of size, there’s a following double-page spread showing what the dinosaur looked like (with some creative use of colour) and some basic facts about each one – for instance, the Triceratops had a beak like a bird and a big frill around its head, and the Velociraptor had pointy teeth, fluffy feathers and curved claws on its back legs.

Perfect for young dinosaur enthusiasts and a very early introduction to the idea of fossils and archaeology.
