About this book
It's a busy day building a new motorway - cars are driving past really fast, the diggers are clawing holes in the earth and the concrete mixer's drum is turning. A whole host of vehicles are involved in making the new motorway - backhoe loaders, tipper trucks, graders, dump trucks - until the day is done and the trucks can snuggle down in their yard, sleeping under the stars.
Young fans of Susan Steggall's vehicle picture books will adore this colourful addition with its central fold-out, showing the spread of motorway building activity. It's relatively unusual to see a vehicle-themed bedtime story, so this is a great find for families with truck and digger-mad little ones who like nothing better than learning all the different vehicle names.
