Join the Waterstones Children's Laureate steering group
The Children's Laureate steering group (CLSG) represent the reading and the children's book world. The steering group supports BookTrust to deliver the Laureate programme by giving strategic direction, expertise and guidance, recognising that each Laureate brings their unique creative approach to the role.
We are looking for two new members to join us, one representing school librarians and one representing public libraries.
- You will be chosen to represent the libraries sector and to contribute your specialist expertise.
- You must be able to attend at least three meetings a year (online or in person).
- It is a voluntary role, but all expenses are paid.
We want the CLSG to represent the views and experiences of people from different backgrounds, so are particularly keen to hear from people from or working in under-represented communities. This is a great opportunity to contribute to this magical initiative and for your own professional development and we look forward to hearing from you.
To apply: Send an email to [email protected], telling us why you would like to join the steering group, and what you would bring to the role. Your statement should be under 200 words. She will send you background information, including our terms of reference and Story of Change.
Deadline for applications: 4pm on Monday, 5 December. We will follow up with informal conversations with potential candidates.
