Seven Stories
So, Seven Stories. It really is one of my favourite places. It's as exciting as Willy Wonker's Chocolate Factory; this place is all about imagination.

There's an exhibition of John Birningham's work on at the moment. Seeing his pictures for real was quite moving, like visiting old friends. I pored over his books when I was small; still do now. It's as if each one has it's own soul.
Here's me and Ma at Seven Stories with Shoe Baby's giant shoe! A couple of years ago they had an exhibition to celebrate Walker Books. It's a place where wonderful things happen!

They also have a massive archive, you can put on special white gloves and open special boxes containing all sorts of treasure: from original manuscripts of David Almond's Skellig to Shepard's drawings of Winnie the Pooh. If you're anywhere near Newcastle- GO! Anthony Browne's exhibiton opens there in April.
