Discover

Today, as part of the World Book Day Celebrations I visited Discover, The Children's Story Centre in East London. I had never been before; it's a brilliant place, so inventive and playful. I met a story alien who had lost all his stories and saw Lauren Child's utterly fab Moonsquirters exhibition. I found so many reading dens, caves and nooks I could have easily crawled into one and happily whiled away the afternoon.

My event was chaotic and fun; one lady likened entertaining a room full of three year olds to doing standup on a Saturday night! At one point I tried to deter a stage invasion by telling the children that Penguin will bite; I thought I had said the wrong thing when the Mums and Dads audibly gasped.. but the general retort was - 'Me, me! Bite me! I've got a nose!'
