Blake Morrison
Blake Morrison, much admired for his award winning memoirs and poetry, has now written his first novel, the gloriously readable South of the River.
Compelling and comic, the novel opens on the ‘new dawn’ of Labour’s election victory in 1997 and ends five years later, following the paths of a dysfunctional group of people, two rivers, and many Englands – metropolitan and rural, black and white.
Blake will read from South of the River and take questions from the audience.
