Booktrust and Bookaboo partnership
Booktrust is pleased to be the charity partner of Bookaboo, CITV’s new children’s TV series highlighting the pleasure of sharing picture books.
As part of the partnership, 13,000 books will be donated to children across the UK – 1,000 books for every episode of the series. Booktrust will liaise with publishers and local authorities to help distribute the books to children under the age of six years and in care.
Bookaboo is a world famous rock puppy who cannot perform until he has shared a book with someone – 'A story a day or he just can’t play!' In each episode, a famous face goes back stage to share a story with Bookaboo on his Bookabus.

Signed Stories
Signed Stories has a very simple goal – to help improve the literacy of deaf children nationwide by allowing them to share in the joy of storytelling.
It’s also designed to provide useful advice and guidance for the parents, carers and teachers of deaf children; and for the deaf parents of hearing children.
Everyone – deaf or hearing – can use Signed Stories. It’s got lots of great books to see in sign language and subtitles. Hearing family and friends can listen to the stories too.
