London’s statues are at war with each other. George and Edie become involved as the need to rescue their friend arises. A statue of a First World War gunner has been imprisoned far beneath the London streets, and must be rescued by midnight!
However, soon George and Edie are separated by a strange twist of events which threatens their safety. All three characters must overcome their fears and anxieties and face numerous dangerous situations before they can come together to defeat the evil Walker, temporarily at least.
With characters which are rounded and real, this is a rich and rewarding read, a fast-paced and exciting thriller that is often moving and poignant too.
As the sequel to Stoneheart, it would be wise to read this first, in order to grasp the full impact of Iron Hand.
