Matching game: Mix up all the pictures and put them in front of you with the animals facing down. Turn the first picture over: how quickly can you match up the animal from the book with its photo?

Try counting how many stairs Mr Big has to climb. You can then trace over the numbers.

Can you find the butterfly in your story book The Tale of a Naughty Little Rabbit? Now you can make your own butterfly picture! Cut out the whole butterfly around the dotted box. Use paint to make a pattern on one side of this butterfly. Then fold the page in half to print the patterns onto the other side of the page.

How many animals do you see on this page? How many of each animal are there? Practise tracing the numbers. Now look for these animals in your book.
