Looked-after children

  • In 2013, Letterbox Club sent parcels to 5,736 looked after children in England, Wales, Northern

Ireland and Scotland


  • Letterbox Club sent 156,306 parcels to 26,051 children across the UK since the programme began in



Schools programmes

  • In 2012-13, Book Trust's targeted schools offers reached more than 220,000 disadvantaged children in primary and secondary schools


  • Book Trust works with over 100,000 children in 1,160 primary schools through The Ant Club


  • Book Trust works with around 120,000 children in 335 secondary schools through Beyond Booked Up


Early years programmes

  • In 2011-12 Book Trust gifted: 

     - 1,476 Bookshine packs for visually-impaired children
     - 1,601 Booktouch packs for hearing-impaired children


  • Bookstart gives baby packs in 29 different languages
