Our professional packs of books and teaching resources are hugely popular with teachers as they encourage wider reading, support creative thinking and development, all of which help children's attainment across the board.

Children's Books

Read for My School

Aimed at children in years 5 and 6 in its first year, Read for My School is a brand new national schools reading competition from The Pearson Foundation and Booktrust, with support from the Department for Education.

Booktime

Booktime is the national free books programme for reception-aged children. We provide a free book pack for every child aged 4-5 years to share and enjoy with their family and friends. This year, we are delivering 1,380,000 books: two for every single child starting school in England.

Bookbuzz

Bookbuzz is a programme supporting secondary schools to encourage reading for pleasure by giving Year 7 students the opportunity to choose their own book to keep from a list of titles selected by a panel of experts

School Library Pack

In 2012-13 we are offering every secondary school in England a free pack of books and resources to support reading for pleasure across the school. The pack is available to any school with Year 7 students and will offer resources for 11-16 year olds. To receive a free pack, register online by Friday 20 July.

Pori Drwy Stori

Pori Drwy Stori is an exciting new national programme for Wales brought to you by Booktrust Cymru. It is a universal programme for four- to five-year-olds funded by the Welsh Government to support literacy in the foundation phase. All children in maintained Welsh primary schools will be eligible for the programme automatically. We are hoping to reach some 35,000 children.

Booktrust's targeted offers

Booktrust's targeted schools programmes provide additional support at key transition periods.
