Librarian
Libraries are at the heart of Booktrust's vision to empower people through reading and writing. We work with public and school librarians across many of our programmes, providing free resources and activities around our reading programmes for children including Bookstart Bear Club, Bookstart's Rhyme Challenge, Booktime, Booked Up and our many literary prizes and awards.
Bookstart
Bookstart offers the gift of free books to all children at key ages before they start school, to inspire a love of reading that will give children a flying start in life. Visit the Bookstart website for useful information and resources, including:

School Libraries

Bookbuzz
Find out about Bookbuzz, a programme supporting secondary schools to encourage reading for pleasure by giving Year 7 students the opportunity to choose their own book to keep from a list of titles selected by a panel of experts.
School Library Pack
In 2012-13 we are offering every secondary school in England a free pack of books and resources to support reading for pleasure across the school. The pack is available to any school with Year 7 students and will offer resources for 11-16 year olds. To receive a free pack, register online by Friday 20 July.
Bookstart Bear Club
A library-based membership reward scheme for babies, toddlers and preschoolers complemented by an online club. Get personalised book recommendations, record your child's reading journey, make wishlists, stamp your passport and play exclusive online games.
The Rhyme Challenge
Great rhyming resources for children's centres and early years settings to encourage a love of rhymes and early poetry in children aged 0–5 and to promote the benefits of learning together to families, both in an Early Years setting and at home.
Booktime
Every year Booktime, the national free books programme for Reception-aged children, works in partnership with participating libraries to deliver the Booktime programme. Children's Laureate

Letterbox Club
The Letterbox Club focuses on improving the educational outlook for looked-after children aged 7-13 by providing them with a parcel of books, maths activities and educational materials once every month for six months. Children's Book Week
