Bookstart Bear bears Olympic torch

Michelle Herriman, Bookstart Coordinator for Milton Keynes, on a new honour for our mascot
The Olympic torch was carried by our very own Bookstart Bear through the streets of Milton Keynes on 9 July.
To the cheers of the crowd, he romped up Silbury Boulevard and past the central library. We all hummed the theme to Chariots of Fire and cheered him on!
