The summer poems celebrate the enduring power of music, with a specially commissioned 'Ode to Joy' by Gillian Clarke, inspired by Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and poems by Shakespeare, Hardy, D.H. Lawrence, Kathleen Raine and Michael Longley.
Poems on the Underground (Underground Poems CIC) is supported by London Underground, the Arts Council and the British Council, in partnership with the Poetry Society and the Poetry Book Society.
