Mark Hearld
A First Book of Nature
Mark Hearld is a distinguished artist and printmaker who studied illustration at Glasgow School of Art and Natural History Illustration at the Royal College. Inspired by the natural world, especially animals, he makes prints, paintings and collages, as well as textiles and ceramics. Of illustrating A First Book of Nature, Mark says: 'Paper-cut pigeons fly through the air and collaged fish swim in a rock pool - Nicola's text is so observant and particular, its rich cast of creatures a delight to bring to life.'
