Books we like: June 2012

This month brings some great new picture books from acclaimed illustrators Michael Foreman and David Lucas, as well as the first novel from much-loved illustrator Shirley Hughes: a powerful and moving story set in Italy during the Second World War. Meanwhile, Mark Hearld's gorgeous illustrations are the perfect accompaniment to Nicola Davies' delightful A First Book of Nature and Julia Green also explores the magic of nature in her enchanting new book Tilly's Moonlight Fox.
