When Tom Met Tallulah

Tom appears the perfect kitten and his new owner, Tallulah, patiently teaches him how to become all a cat should be. He laps his milk, catnaps with aplomb, uses the cat flap and chases his fishy toy.

But - unbeknownst to Tallulah - Tom is secretly learning human, taking notes in his little black book. Once Tom’s excelled at being human, he starts to train Tallulah in cat.  And once he’s got Tallulah purring under the bed, and he’s snuggling under the blankets, Tom decides to return Tallulah to the pet shop; he wants to swap her for a …..puppy!

Bold pastel-coloured backgrounds complement jaunty, characterful illustrations of Tom and Tallulah's battle royal throughout this delightfully humorous picture book. There is plenty of mischief and much to amuse young readers in this funny story - which ends oh so badly!
