Midnight Pirates

Despite its beautiful location in an isolated Cornish cove and a resident ghost, the Dodo Hotel is struggling and Miranda and her brothers - surf-dude Cal and dog-loving Jack - are devastated when their parents decide to sell up.  The children must go to boarding school while their parents organise their future. 

But these aren’t conventional children: deftly evading school, they flee back to The Dodo, determined to become hoteliers in their own right.  But their first guests aren’t what they seem; the children suddenly they find themselves in danger, trying to escape two dastardly oil pirates and save a super-tanker from running aground.

Wonderful characters and eccentric humour drive this beautifully-paced story with a tension-filled plot. A cracking contemporary adventure bursting with exuberance and energy.
