Me Books (app)

The award-winnning Me Books app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch provides access to a whole range of well-loved picture books old and new. This simple but effective platform comes complete with some free picture books to read on screen, but users can access many others, ranging from classics like Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit, to favourite books about popular characters such as Peppa Pig and Charlie and Lola, right through to titles by contemporary picture book creators like Ed Vere and David Lucas, via the MeBooks Shop.

Each book includes audio narration from by a celebrity narrator, including the likes of Richard E Grant, Sir David Jason and Josie Lawrence, as well as the ability for readers and their families to create their own 'interactive hot spots' and to record their own stories and sounds to enhance the story for themselves. Children will especially relish the playful extra touches, such as some unexpected and often tongue-in-cheek additional audio commentary which they can discover by exploring the pages of each story.
