The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My (app)

Tove Jansson’s original picture book from 1952 has been transformed into a beautiful interactive story in this iPad app.

Follow Moomin and Mymble as they try to find Little My – although eagle-eyed young readers will probably spot her before Moomin does. Shake, rotate, swipe and tap the screen to discover animations hidden in each of the beautiful pages, which take their cues from Jansson’s original cut-out page designs. Choose to either read the story to yourself or listen to actor Samuel West reading the quirky rhyming text aloud.

Jansson’s beautifully detailed, colourful and graphic illustrations lend themselves well to the iPad format, and fans of the Moomins young and old are certain to enjoy exploring this delightful picture book app.
