Hide and Seek

by Catherine MacPhail

To Nicola, the arrival of a new girl at school presents a golden opportunity for a cruel practical joke: convince her that the school is haunted, get her to spend a night there and scare her out of her wits. But what seemed like such a fun idea soon turns into a living nightmare as, one by one, Nicola’s friends disappear and bizarre and inexplicable things start to happen leaving Nicola alone and vulnerable.

This dyslexia-friendly psychological thriller is truly chilling and unsettling. Manageable text combined with rich characterisation and a cracking plot make this ideal for less confident older readers.
