The Haunting of Tabitha Grey

by Vanessa Curtis

Tabitha’s Mum, Dad and her brother Ben are hoping the move to Weston Manor will offer them the fresh start they desperately need. But whilst Dad immediately loves his new job as the Manor’s Head Keeper, Tabitha is uneasy: she feels like the house has been expecting her.

Then it begins: an intense cold on the stair-case, wafts of lavender, footsteps, ladies playing croquet and the woman in the dark dress with the pale oval face and dark slits for eyes.  As their new-found family happiness starts to crumble, Tabitha’s unease deepens. But it soon becomes clear that it isn't just ghosts from the distant past that are haunting Tabitha and her family.

This atmospheric ghost story with truly engaging characters is beautifully paced, the tension steadily intensifying as it builds to a brilliant final twist.
