Billy’s parents are mad about magic but their spells usually go wrong with dangerous results! When Billy manages to rescue one of their snails to keep as a pet, his parents decide to try out some spells to find him a more interesting creature. Needless to say things don’t go to plan and chaos ensues.

This book is a quirky and colourful riot of madness and mayhem about the true magic of friendship. The illustrations are delightful with lots to look at and explore in each picture and the rhyming text is great for reading aloud, making this an ideal book to share.

Jo Hodgkinson studied Illustration at the University of Wolverhampton. She won first prize in the Emerging Talent category of Cheltenham Illustration Awards celebrating narrative illustration. She loves to travel and is currently living in Istanbul and teaching Art at Istanbul International Community School, but visits the UK regularly.
