Cracks

Set in a dystopian Britain of 2024, Cracks melds together disturbing echoes of 2012 with a lawless regime of terrorism and counter-terrorism. Paranoia has gripped the nation, with GPS tracking chips inserted into everyone, a vicious police force and mysterious medical experiments taking place.

Imprisoned in a secret hospital, Cal wakes from a coma in which he has been living the dysfunctional life of another boy as the result of a tissue transplant. As he escapes from his captors, he struggles to find out who he really is.

Caroline Green creates a tense teenage adventure which examines identity, friendship and loyalty, and questions corporate humanity and individual reality. Cal’s experience is both moving and terrifying.
