The Snorgh and the Sailor

by

Will Buckingham

Illustrated by Thomas Docherty

The grumpy Snorgh lives alone in an ugly house on a marsh and sits by the fire all alone. Then one day, a bedraggled sailor arrives telling exciting stories of exotic lands - and in spite of himself, the Snorgh finds himself first sharing his salty soup and then setting out on an extraordinary adventure.

This thought-provoking, poignant and humorous story about loneliness, friendship and the power of storytelling will delight young readers. Entertaining illustrations by Thomas Docherty bring the melancholy Snorgh and his lively friend the Sailor vividly to life.
