The Peppers and the International Magic Guys

by Sian Pattenden

Monty and Esmé's parents have left them for a week in the care of their magician uncle, Potty.

Monty has been happily drawn in to be Uncle Potty's assistant in his magic tricks, but unfortunately, his routine keeps going disastrously wrong. Sensible Esmé soon discovers that Uncle Potty is nervous, because the International Magic Guys organisation is threatened with closure - and Monty and Esmé must help Uncle Potty and his fellow magicians to ensure they give a memorable performance.

Quirkily illustrated, and interspersed with instructions for simple magic tricks, this is an amusing story of sibling ingenuity and endeavour, well suited to lower KS2 readers.
