Arriving at the gates of Camp Jupiter,  he meets fellow demi gods Frank and Hazel, and Percy learns that together they must embark on his most important and demanding quest yet, the Prophecy of Seven, where failure means risking everything ...

From the opening page readers are thrust straight into the action in this latest Percy Jackson adventure. It has all the hallmarks of a good adventure novel; it’s fast paced and exciting with a well crafted plot interweaving Greek mythology with the modern day. The characters are sympathetic, the dialogue witty. An enthralling page turner sure to delight Percy Jackson fans everywhere.

What you thought

This series - The Heroes of Olympus - is my favourite series!! Previously, my favourite series was the Percy Jackson one - also by Rick Riordan - but I have read all of the Percy Jackson books so I decided to look for more reading material! I looked on Rick Riordan's website and I came across this series. Since then, I read the first book - The Lost Hero - in my local library. I then bought that book and the Son of Neptune one too!! I am reading that book at the moment and it is AMAZING!!! I cannot put it down!! Co-incidently, Rick Riordan is now my favourite author of all time!!!!
