When housewife Inés finds out that her husband Ernesto is having an affair, she hopes they can get through it. When one night she follows him and sees him kill the woman she suspects is his lover, all of her protective instincts kick in at once. She will lie and cheat to keep her husband by her side, naively hoping that everything will go back to normal. However, she soon finds out that Ernesto's betrayal goes much deeper than just a casual affair. Furious yet resourceful, she will fight to the death to defend herself.
Meanwhile, Ernesto and Inés' teenaged daughter Lali has her own secret to hide. Unbeknownst to her oblivious parents, Lali must come to term with her unwanted pregnancy and learn to fend for herself in the world.
All Yours is mostly narrated by Inés, whose manic and often deluded voice gives the novel its comic edge. Despite coming across as superficial and catty, the reader warms to Inés because of her single-minded determination and her refusal to go down with out a fight.
In this crime thriller, the question is not who committed the crime but who will take the blame for it; and who will go the furthest to survive. Darkly funny and very likeable, All Yours will keep you riveted to find out how the desperate but resourceful Inés will escape the net of betrayal closing in around her.
