Marshall Armstrong is New to Our School
by David Mackintosh
Marshall Armstrong is different to the other kids in his class. He uses pen and ink and his laces are tied straight not criss-crossed. He has a digital watch and his skin is all spotty. He eats space food and always wears a hat - he doesn't fit in at all.
Then one day Marshall invites everyone to his party where everyone can do things differently. They can run around inside, drink real lemonade, open a piñata and look at the stars through a telescope. And it's all a lot of fun.
This thoughtful book about tolerance, acceptance and celebrating difference has quirky cartoon-like illustrations that beautifully compliment the simple text.
