Tinga Tinga Tales: A Busy, Busy Day in Tinga Tinga
by
Claudia Lloyd (series creator)
All the animals in Tinga Tinga are very, very busy preparing themselves for a special event, and elephant can't remember what is happening but the other animals are too busy to tell him.
The Monkeys are busy grooming each other, Hippo and Tickbird are busy practising their song, Chameleon is busy deciding what colours to wear, the Flamingoes are busy practising their dance and Lion is busy organising all the animals. In the end Elephant’s old friend Tortoise reminds him that the Tinga Tinga festival of colours is fast approaching and all the animals are preparing themselves for it.
This entertaining story with flaps and a pop-up surprise at the end is part of the popular Tinga Tinga Tales series, inspired by traditional animals stories from Africa. The brightly coloured, vibrant illustrations are inspired by the Tingatinga artwork of Tanzania.
