Takeshita Demons: The Filth Licker

by Cristy Burne

After her previous Takeshita Demon-defying adventures, Miku hopes School Camp will be a picnic - but something's making her uneasy.  And when Oscar develops a festering rash, and creepy Camp Supervisor, Mr James, gets them telling ghost stories around the fire (a sure-fire ritual to bring dark forces into being), Miku's suspicions are confirmed.

But with best friend, Cait, acting strangely, shape-shifters filling the woods, and facing her most dangerous enemies yet - the super-dangerous Sickle Weasles -  Miku's feeling very alone: and is the red-clawed Filth-Licker in the showers friend or foe?

This is inventive, fast-paced horror, combining 'School-camp-in-spooky-woods' with elements of Japanese folklore: new, increasingly disgusting demons come thick and fast, testing the ever-resourceful Miku to her limits and producing some genuinely scary moments.
