Not now, Bernard

by David McKee

The classic tale of Bernard’s distracted parents who fail to notice that their son has been eaten and replaced by a monster. We follow Bernard as he attempts to attract mum and dad’s attention only to hear the repeated refrain ‘Not now, Bernard’. Bernard’s problem is that there is a monster in the garden who wants to eat him!

Short, pithy and not a page wasted Not now, Bernard is a wonderful picture book. It deals with a sad theme in a clever and funny way that will resonate with both adults and children.
