The Search for WondLa

For as long as she can remember, twelve-year-old Eva Nine has lived in a hi-tech underground sanctuary with Muthr, the robot who raised her. She has never seen the sun or walked outdoors, but she longs to meet other humans, and to know more about the outside world.

But when a marauder first attacks and then destroys Eva’s home, Eva finds her wish for adventure unexpectedly granted. Gathering together an unlikely band of companions, including their reluctant rescuer Rovender Kitt and telepathic ‘water bear’ Otto, she sets out through an unfamiliar landscape to find others like herself, inspired by a mysterious object she has found, depicting a child, an adult and a robot, under the letters ‘Wond…La’. But the marauder Besteel is already on their trail, and determined to capture Eva and her friends…
