The Night Bookmobile

by Audrey Niffenegger

In the early hours of a summer morning, a young woman encounters a mysterious mobile library while walking down an empty suburban street. Entering the library, she is astonished to discover copies of every book she has ever read, carefully catalogued by the librarian -her own history and memories gathered together in an extraordinary portrait of herself as a reader. But at dawn, the Night Bookmobile disappears.

Years pass, and Lexi becomes increasingly obsessed with reading - and with her quest to rediscover the Bookmobile itself. Lexi's story is told in sparse, atmospheric pen-and-ink drawings in this haunting and thought-provoking graphic novel.
