The Getaway

Fingers McGraw is on the run (or rather, on the moped) from chief law enforcer The Elephant. McGraw is a notorious cheese thief – a mouse, naturally – and, in the style of a true bandit he seeks refuge in the downtown streets.

Big eyes, big feet and then a big nose may turn out not to be the Elephant's, but surely the long arm of the law will get him in the end…?

This is a one-off - part comic strip, newspaper, cartoon and film; we find text as graffiti and there's even an attempt at dialogue with the reader! (Great opportunities here for media studies.)

Memorable for its artistic mix of photos and cartoon illustrations, and also for its zaniness, it confounds expectations and is full of fun.
