The Battle of the Sun

Jack Snap is a 'boy where magic could happen'; and happen it does when he is imprisoned by a darkly powerful Magus, an alchemist who plans to turn Tudor London into gold.

The Magus demands Jack’s assistance but Jack senses his malevolence and they are soon locked in an epic battle of magic.

At times Jack despairs: there’s a Dragon, an ailing King; his friends and his mother are turned to stone  and he’s only a boy!

Then the magical, mysterious, Silver arrives from the future; together they thwart the Magus. The writing is as rich and strange as the story in this fantastical, endlessly inventive modern fairy tale that shifts from the historical past to the present into a time outside time itself.
