The Girl with the Bird's-nest Hair
by Sarah Dyer
Hollie's hatred of the hair brush results in her tangled curls attracting a range of nesting birds, until the size and weight of her load squash her and she gives in to her mother's pleas for a tidy hairstyle.
Less engaging than Dyer's other books, but the illustrations of Hollie and how she acquires each new occupant are lively and funny.
