Glister: The House Hunt

Glister, around whom strange things happen, lives with her Dad in a magical, ghost-inhabited, crumbling, stately home. In this, the second novel, Chilblain Hall is insulted by a local dignitary and disappears, leaving Glister to try to sweet-talk it into returning.

Watson's text and illustration is funny and fast, whirling the reader through the narrative with extensive supportive material in the pictures.

Printed in pale green with the text resembling hand-printing, this is a short novel which will engage both younger and reluctant older girl readers.

Appended is a three-page, text-based short story, while the covers offer a Glister figure to cut out and dress.
