Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed

by Mo Willems

Naked mole rats are a little bit rat, a little bit mole and they definitely don't wear clothes! But 'Why not?' asks Wilbur, who just loves clothes: they can make him feel fancy, funny or cool.

Horrified, shocked and amazed, the naked mole rats summon Grandpa to proclaim judgement upon this outlandish thinking.

When wise old Grandpa takes to the podium in a natty pin-striped suit, cravat and spats Wilbur knows he’s found a fellow-thinker – and that naked mole rats, dressed or otherwise, should accept each other as they are.

The humour is gloriously deadpan and the illustrations brim with Willem’s uniquely expressive wit, in this fable about not following the herd. Serious stuff - but very, very funny!
