Mr Pusskins Best in Show

by Sam Lloyd

Reputed to be the grumpiest ginger cat around, Mr Pusskins is  reluctant to agree with his young owner’s decision to enter him in a show.

However, when Mr Pusskins spots the fabulous trophy on offer he changes his mind, and is determined to win the Best-Looking Pet award. Inter-contestant rivalry finds him misdirected to the arena, and his speed and ingenuity in getting there result in a very dishevelled cat arriving for the judging. Fortunately, although he misses out on the prize for best looking pet, he is awarded an even more spectacular cup for top talent.

Lloyd’s typically funny, lively illustrations and simple text both entertain and offer young readers the reassurance that there is more than one way to succeed.
