Room on the Broom

by

Julia Donaldson
Illustrator: Axel Scheffler

From the award-winning team that created The Gruffalo comes another hilarious tale, this time about a witch.

While flying with her cat on her broomstick, the wind blows the witch's hat from her head. Luckily, a friendly dog rescues it and, as a reward, is invited to travel with them on the broom.

Throughout the tale, they encounter a series of other characters who each help the witch to recover various possessions that she loses along the way.

This ingenious story, written with humour, has an unexpected ending. The rhythmical text makes it ideal for reading aloud. Axel Scheffler has artistically surpassed himself by creating the perfect atmosphere with the use of bright colours and given convincing and expressive features to all the characters.
