Paralysed
by Sherry Ashworth
It's a Saturday morning much like any other - until a rugby accident leaves Simon in hospital, paralysed with a spinal cord injury.
The reader is immediately drawn in, as Simon tries to come to terms with the strange new place he suddenly finds himself in physically and emotionally. The book also follows the journey of his girlfriend Emma, whose grief evolves through a chain of conflicting stages, and his best friend Danny, who is struggling with his sense of guilt, heightened by his growing feelings for Emma.
This book is dedicated to the author's friend, who was disabled following an illness.
