The Snow Leopard

by

Jackie Morris
Illustrator: Jackie Morris

The Mergich Realm is a sacred and secret place hidden high in the tallest mountains of the world. Guarded by spirits which take animal form, the Realm comes under threat when soldiers arrive seeking slaves and gold.

The Snow Leopard, who has protected the Realm since the beginning of time, realises that her earthly life is waning, and she seeks a pure and incorruptible soul to whom she can pass her knowledge and power so the hidden valley can remain safe.

The gloriously extravagant illustrations set against a breathtaking Himalayan background, draw the reader into a magical and mythical world where special places are protected from marauding hordes.

A modern day myth with a subtle environmental message.
