Timothy and the Strong Pyjamas
by Viviane Schwarz
Timothy’s bedtime routine involves working hard to grow up strong (press ups, drinking milk, and meditating on lions). But his pyjamas are taking the strain.
When mum does some tough patching and button-sewing, it is the pyjamas themselves that bring Timothy extraordinary super-strength.
Timothy starts a life of adventure as a super-hero, until the day that his pyjamas get ripped on a bear’s claw. His power gone, lost and alone in a deep dark wood – by the time he gets home his mum needs to gets out her needle again.
Plenty of entertaining visual variety and humour, with appeal for adults too. Most delightful of all, perhaps, is the character of Timothy’s faithful and encouraging alter-ego, his soft-toy monkey.
